User Group 2000

Card Tech's first User Group of the Millennium took place at the Four Seasons Hotel in Limassol, Cyprus from the 12th - 15th September 2000.

The theme focused on "New Frontiers" and the programme was designed to explore how new developments in chip, e-commerce and WAP technologies would impact the business and how CTL's clients would be able to benefit from industry and technological advances.

The event was a huge success and was attended by over 80 delegates representing 50 institutions using CTL technologies.


Guest Speakers
   

Kjell Kleveland (Xon Consulting) and Ola Raavand (Sparebankutvikling AS, Norway) presented a case study of a successful e-commerce solution.

Kjell Kleveland (left) has for the last year been the project manager of the total project of Sparebankkort, including the implementation of Card Management, CRM and Document Management Systems.

Ola Raavand (right) is the IT Manager of Sparebankkort, and has been project manager for the WEB sales client project and participated in the overall WEB banking project.

   

Roy Oyin, Ericsson AS, Norway, spoke about "Mobile e-Pay"

Mobile ePay is a flexible and versatile solution offered by Ericsson to address the connectivity and interoperability between telecom operators and Financial Institutions.

CTL’s Payment server is an invaluable tool enabling the worlds of mobile communications and payments to integrate. CTL Payment Server enables Ericsson’s Mobile e-Pay solution to interface with the payment associations.


   

Pekka Mattila,
Mr Mattila joined Visa in 1997 and has been involved in chip cards and electronic commerce from the beginning. He presented the VISA CHIP programme together with a case study.
